My Most Anticipated Book Releases for 2026
Happy Thursday, fellow book dragons! We are less than a month away from 2026, which is absolutely crazy to think about! As we prepare for the new year, I have started planning my 2026 book purchases, and there are some I am so excited for! Here is the current list of my most anticipated book releases for 2026!!
Romantasy/Romantic Fantasy
Rites of the Starling is book two in the Shield of Sparrows series! Book one, Shield of Sparrows, needs to be read first to understand book two!
Release Date: April 7, 2026
Fury Bound by Sable Sorensen is book two in The Wolves of Ruin series.
Release Date: May 5, 2926
Book one, Dire Bound, must be read first! The hardcover edition is not available until March 3, 2026.
The Wings That Bind by Briar Boleyn is book three in the Bloodwing Academy! Book one, On Wings of Blood, and book two, The Bonds That Burn must be read first!
The Ballad of Falling Dragons by Sarah A. Parker is book two in the Moonfall Series.
Release Date: May 19, 2026
If you have not read book one, When the Moon Hatched, then I would highly recommend you read it before book two comes out.
Light Wielder by Rachel Schneider is book two in the Fire & Metal series. Book one, Metal Slinger must be read first!

Dark Romance
Game on by Navessa Allen is book three in the Into Darkness series!
This is a dark romcom, so please check the trigger warnings. Although this is a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the first two books, Lights Out and Caught Up.
Lights Out is one of my favorite books this year. It was spicy and so funny!!

Sweet Vengeance by Tracy Wolff is book three in the Calder Academy series! I absolutely loved the Crave series and am so excited to dive back into the lives of some of the characters we met.

Dear Debbie by Freida McFadden is releasing in 2026, and I am so excited to read it! I have read a handful of Freida McFadden books this year, and I loved every one.
