Book Review: Guilty by M.A. Bradley

Happy Wednesday!

I just finished reading Guilty by M.A. Bradley, and I loved it!

Synopsis:

Jess and Rafferty recently moved in together. One evening, Jess and Rafferty engage in a steamy engagement with strangers. What they don’t know is these strangers are their new neighbors.

Cali and Rob have struggled with finding passion in their marriage. So, desperate to ignite their love, they try their hand at exhibitionism. So naturally, the thought of getting caught excites Cali, but she doesn’t expect Jess to want to join.

When Rafferty sees Jess enjoying the show, he makes the situation more exciting.

None of them realized at that moment that Cali and Rafferty already have history, and this evening begins a whirlwind of passion, mistakes, and secrets. Will the truth come out? Who will suffer in the end?

Review:

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the way each event was portrayed. I found myself on the edge of my seat through the entire story.

M.A. Bradley is a fantastic writer and brought these characters to life. The storyline is entertaining. I loved that the characters were created to feel natural and like I was experiencing the same emotions.

Throughout the story, I was annoyed with how Cali presented herself and felt like she was a very selfish and immature character. That said, in some ways, I believe she grew by the end of the book. Rafferty also frustrated me because I felt he didn’t know how good of a life he had with Jess, and he was too naive in thinking everything would blow over. Throughout the entire book, I found myself empathizing with Jess and Rob. Their pain was so intense that it jumped off the pages.

Now, the ending left me screaming, and I hope we get a second book because I NEED to know what happens.
